TEXAS!
Drove from Vicksburg to Canton, TX just outside Dallas and spent the
night. The next day drove to Copper Breaks State Park near
Quanah,Texas. We used both gps’s to go around Dallas; wow, do they
have highways. Glad it was a holiday and not too busy.
Copper Breaks is an interesting and historic area. After the Civil War,
copper was mined here until 1885. This area was known for large
herds of bison. Now, the home of Texas Longhorn cattle, corralled
south of the park.
Swimming, anyone?

CAPROCK CANYON STATE PARK
WOW, What a beautiful place this is! Bison roam free here!
They are descendent from the original herd saved by Charles
Goodnight and his wife; without them, the American Bison would
have been extinct.
