From Texas, we drove to Santa Rosa, NM and stayed in an RV park
hoping that we could fill up on propane. Next day, pulled up to
propane tank and no propane!!!! Keep going west on I-40/Route 66.
Found a place west of Albuquerque for propane and got a site at
Bluewater Lake State Park(dry camping).

Day 4 Jerome, AZ
Located on top of Cleopatra Hill, Jerome is an historic
copper mining town founded in 1876. Population peaked in
the 1920’s at around 15,000. One of the richest mines, it
made 1 million dollars a month-almost 8 billion dollars
until it closed in 1953, leaving the town a “ghost town”.
Now a tourist destination and a historical State Park,
Jerome has a population of 450
